The Stitching Bee Retreat

Code of Conduct

We want the retreat to be 100% fun for everyone. We want to provide a space that is welcoming and friendly for all. This code of conduct outlines our expectations for participant behavior.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

  • Have an amazing time!
  • Be considerate and respectful of everyone.
  • Refrain from demeaning, discriminatory, or harassing behavior and speech.
  • Be mindful of your surroundings and your fellow participants. Please alert a Stitching Bee Retreat staff member if you notice concerning behavior.

WE DO NOT ALLOW

  • Soliciting (direct sales) at stitching tables.  
  • Sharing of class projects or materials. This includes pattern sharing. Please respect designers and teachers.
  • Video recording in class.

UNACCEPTABLE BEHAVIOR

  • Unacceptable behavior includes intimidating, harassing, abusive, discriminatory, derogatory, or demeaning conduct by any event attendees.
  • Harassment includes: offensive comments (verbal, written, or otherwise) related to gender, sexual orientation, race, religion, or disability.
  • Physical, written, verbal, or other abuse, intimidation, threats, annoyance, or harassment whatsoever against any person, which in any way creates a disruptive disturbance, as determined by The Stitching Bee Retreat, in their sole discretion.
  • Bullying of any kind will not be tolerated.
  • Any boisterous, lewd, or offensive behavior or language, including but not limited to using sexually explicit or offensive language, conduct, or any language, behavior, or content that contains profanity, obscene gestures, or racial, religious, or ethnic slurs.

CONSEQUENCES OF UNACCEPTABLE BEHAVIOR

Unacceptable behavior will not be tolerated whether by other attendees or exhibitors. Anyone asked to stop unacceptable behavior is expected to comply immediately. If a participant engages in unacceptable behavior, we may take any action we deem appropriate, up to and including expulsion from the event without warning or refund, calling the authorities to have the perpetrator(s) physically removed from the property, and/or being banned from future events.

WHAT TO DO IF YOU WITNESS OR ARE SUBJECTED TO UNACCEPTABLE BEHAVIOR

If you are subjected to or witness unacceptable behavior or have any other concerns, please notify a Stitching Bee Retreat staff member as soon as possible. All reports will remain completely confidential.

PHOTOGRAPHY/VIDEOGRAPHY

Video recordings and photographs are being taken at this event. By attending, you agree to use your image and likeness on our website, social media, and other promotional materials.
